Custom metadata

Managing custom metadata via the Cloudsmith web app

Early Access

Custom metadata is currently available in early access for Ultra and Enterprise customers.

View custom metadata for a package

You can view all custom metadata entries for a package from the Cloudsmith web app.

  1. From your Cloudsmith dashboard, go to the Repositories tab.
  2. In the repository list, click the name of a repository to open the detailed repository view.
  3. In the package list, click the name of the package that you want to view custom metadata for.
    The detailed package view opens on the Overview tab.
  4. Click the Custom tab.
    • If custom metadata exists for the package, it is displayed. Click Formatted or Raw data to adjust the metadata view.
    • If no custom metadata exists for the package, the tab displays No Custom for package_name.

Search packages with metadata filters

The web app package search supports a metadata: search filter.

The web app currently supports viewing existing package metadata and using metadata filters in package search. For information about adding key-value metadata to a package, see Managing custom metadata via the Cloudsmith API.
